Ultimately David Paulson is convicted of murder and sentenced to 25 years to life and Meaghan Rice is convicted 2nd degree murder and sentenced to 12.5 years.

Oxygen describes the show as The discovery of a dead body casts suspicion on an unlikely high school romance. Meaghan enjoyed the attention of both young men. She encouraged them to fight. Paulson's defense was that Randy attacked him and he was the intended murder victim. The jury did not buy his story, but with a woman like this, anything is possible. Anyone with a half a brain wouldn't trust her very much.
