Darnell Smith and Tina Leja

In season 1, episode 4 the love story of Darnell Smith and Tina Leja is featured. This dark twisted love story does not end well for Bobbie Dee Holder as they end up murdered. It doesn't end well for the couple either since Darnell Smith is convicted of first degree murde and sentenced to mandatory life without. Tina Leja is also charged with convicted of second degree murder, second degree assault and being an accomplice after the fact and sentenced to 17 years 4 months.

Oxygen describes this story as A prison guard falls in love with an inmate and finds herself willing to do anything to make him happy. This murder occurred in 2002. Tina has likely served her time and since been released.
